Home Health Services
Home health helps you recover faster, regain your independence sooner, and maximize your potential as quickly as possible.
Westminster Canterbury Richmond recognized the need for reliable, quality home healthcare services and started Westminster Canterbury at Home. Our home health service team meets the same high standards for which Westminster Canterbury Richmond is known. These services are available to a limited area beyond our campus, to Westminster Canterbury Richmond residents and members of The Canterbury Club.
Our team provides a wide range of healthcare services in the client’s home to address an illness or injury. Often home health is the next step in recovery after being in the hospital or skilled nursing facility such as the Mary Morton Parsons Health Center. However, home health can also be vital in preventing an unexpected hospital stay by addressing health issues before they require an in-patient stay.
Your Home Health Team includes:
- Attending Physician
- Registered Nurse
- Physical Therapist
- Occupational Therapist
- Speech-Language Pathologist
- Medical Social Worker
- Home Health Aide
- Wound Care
- Heart Disease
- Diabetes
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

- Physical & Occupational Rehabilitation
- Pneumonia
- Bronchitis

Who Pays for Home Health?
Home health is fully covered by Traditional Medicare part A without a co-pay on your part. There is no limit on the number of times you can receive home health, and there is also no requirement for a hospital stay prior to being eligible for your home health benefit. If your doctor or referring healthcare provider decides you need home health service, they will refer you for care at no cost to you.
Who do I contact about home health services?
You may call our staff at 804.292.3500. Our staff will contact your doctor. If your doctor agrees you are a candidate for home health, he will write orders for the service. We will perform an evaluation and discuss your treatment options with your doctor.
